# Developers

Merlin Chain is the first Bitcoin Layer 2 solution built on the Polygon CDK, fully integrating a ZK-Rollup network, decentralized oracle network, and on-chain BTC fraud proof module. By leveraging these advanced technologies, Merlin Chain offers Bitcoin users significantly lower fees, reduced operational complexity, enhanced functionality, and broader asset compatibility. Our mission is to enhance the native capabilities of Bitcoin, making its use more efficient and enjoyable, and ultimately, to Make Bitcoin Fun Again.

Merlin Chain supports a majority of Ethereum EIPs, precompiles, and opcodes. Developers benefit from the seamless deployment of smart contracts, developer tools, and wallets that already work on other EVM chains, but in an environment with more assets from bitcoin ecosystems.

This section is a comprehensive introductions and tutorials for all developers who want to deploy their dApps on Merlin Chain, including:

* [Builder Guides](/merlin-docs/developers/builder-guides.md)
* [Junior Builder Guides](/merlin-docs/developers/junior-builder-guides.md)
* [Run a Merlin Node (Coming Soon)](/merlin-docs/developers/run-a-merlin-node.md)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.merlinchain.io/merlin-docs/developers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
