## Introduction

Merlin Bridge is a cross-chain bridge developed by Merlin Chain, primarily responsible for transferring assets from BTC to Merlin Chain. This Bridge is intended for regular users, investors, and anyone looking to transfer BTC assets to the Merlin Chain.

## Step-by-Step Guide

1. Connect your wallet at [Merlin Bridge](https://merlinchain.io/bridge).

   Note: Here is [a special case for XVerse Users](https://docs.merlinchain.io/merlin-docs/user-quick-start/wallet#xverse-wallet), while conduct bridging operations.
2. Click on "Bridge" and select "Bridge to Chain."
3. Please select the direction you wish to bridge. Currently, bidirectional bridging between Bitcoin Layer1 and the Merlin Chain is fully supported.
4. Select the asset you want to bridge and enter the amount.
5. Prepare sufficient Gas (BTC to Merlin: 0.003 BTC; Merlin to BTC: 0.00002 BTC).
6. Ensure you enter the correct address. Once the transaction is completed, your funds cannot be retrieved.
7. View your cross-chain transaction status by clicking "View Your Transaction History."
