Introduction Merlin Wizard is the configured instance of the **MEE6** bot service used within the Merlin Chain Discord community server (the "Server"). The bot service itself is developed, hosted, and operated by **MEE6** (the "Service Provider"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of and interaction with the MEE6 bot as configured within the Merlin Chain Discord server. By remaining a member of the Server where the bot is active, or by interacting with the bot through commands or messages, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms supplement — and do not replace — MEE6's own Terms of Service and Discord's Terms of Service. ## 2. Relationship of Parties * **MEE6** is the developer and operator of the MEE6 bot platform. MEE6 is responsible for the bot's code, infrastructure, uptime, and core data processing. All questions regarding the bot's underlying platform, data storage, and security should be directed to MEE6. * **Merlin Chain** is the server operator that has licensed and configured MEE6 for use within its Discord community. Merlin Chain controls which MEE6 features are enabled, how they are configured, and how moderation actions are applied within the server. ## 3. Eligibility You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements to use Discord and, by extension, to interact with the bot in this server. Age requirements vary by jurisdiction; refer to the "Age requirements and responsibility of parents and legal guardians" section of Discord's Terms of Service (see Section 11) for details applicable to your country. ## 4. Bot Features Enabled in This Server Merlin Chain has configured MEE6 to provide the following features within the Server: * Welcome messages for new members * Auto-moderation (spam detection, link filtering, rule enforcement) * XP and leveling system with level-based role rewards * Community leaderboards * Custom commands for frequently requested information (`!gas`, `!testnet-faucet`) * Automated role assignment based on member criteria The specific features and their configurations may be adjusted by server moderators at any time. ## 5. Acceptable Use When interacting with the bot in this server, you agree to: * Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines (see Section 11) * Comply with the Merlin Chain Discord server rules * Not abuse, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the bot's functionality * Not spam bot commands or attempt to manipulate XP, leaderboards, or role assignments * Not use the bot to harass, impersonate, or harm other server members Violation of these Terms or the server rules may result in moderation action, including warnings, mutes, kicks, or bans, at the discretion of server moderators and administrators. ## 6. Data Practices Data handling for the bot occurs at two levels: * **Platform level (MEE6)**: All data processing, storage, and security is managed by MEE6. Refer to MEE6's Privacy Policy (see Section 11) for details on how the platform handles data. * **Server level (Merlin Chain)**: Merlin Chain does not collect, store, or export bot data to external systems. Merlin Chain's role is limited to configuring the bot and viewing data through MEE6's dashboard interface. Availability The bot is provided by MEE6 on a platform-as-a-service basis. Merlin Chain does not control: * MEE6 platform uptime or outages * Changes to MEE6's features, pricing, or policies * Discord API changes that may affect bot functionality Merlin Chain may enable, disable, or reconfigure bot features within the server at any time without prior notice. ## 8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: * Merlin Chain shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the bot, including any damages resulting from the bot's actions, moderation decisions, or data handling by MEE6. * The bot is provided "as is" through MEE6's platform. Merlin Chain makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the bot's functionality, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. * Merlin Chain is not responsible for the actions, policies, or platform of MEE6 or Discord Inc. ## 9. Moderation Actions The bot may automatically take moderation actions (message deletion, warnings, mutes) based on rules configured by server moderators. If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, contact a server moderator for review. ## 10. Changes to These Terms These Terms may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued participation in the server after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. ## 11. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Merlin Chain's jurisdiction of operation. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with those laws. ## 13.
